Support when you’re facing cancer

You Are Not Alone: Support from the Firefighter Cancer Support Network (FCSN)

Whether you are a career or volunteer firefighter, EMS provider, active or retired — if you or a loved one has been diagnosed with cancer, we are here for you.

The Firefighter Cancer Support Network provides critical, compassionate assistance to first responders and their immediate families as they face a cancer diagnosis. Our support begins with rapid delivery of post-diagnosis resources, followed by unique, badge-to-badge, one-on-one mentorship from one of our more than 120 fire service mentors — all cancer survivors who understand the journey firsthand.

Your mentor will share their personal experience with your specific cancer type, including insights on testing, treatment, and recovery. This peer-based support is invaluable — not just for practical advice, but as a reminder that you’re not alone.

Within just a few days, we’ll send you our FCSN signature toolbox — free of charge. This includes our comprehensive Firefighter’s Guide to Cancer Survivorship, along with helpful organizational tools and resources to help you stay informed and communicate more effectively with your medical team, family, and fire service community.

From diagnosis to recovery, we stand with you and your family every step of the way.
